Sevgin-Goktas-Ozsan-Sevgingo-FloralToday we needed to go to Caddebostan to run some errands. I had first thought I should not look too festive since this little visit was work related, but then ended up in my frilly floral skirt and floral cap 🙂 This skirt was love at first sight to me, had gotten it at the beginning of this season. Wore it all the time, it has become some sort of uniform to me and I have yet to be bored of it! I had liked the hat at first, thought about it for a while but then put it back on the rack at the store when I first saw it. This week I saw it again and it was on sale, and this time I did not pass 🙂

This is another non-sundayish sunday for me. I am not complaining. I don’t remember the last time I had ‘leisure’ time, ‘leisure’ is not for me anyway. I always say days should have been 36 hours. For me, rest equals sleep. If I get too tired during the day, I just nap for 1-1.5 hours. And such midday naps provide massive revitalizing power both physically and mentally, I just continue with work after that.

This morning we got up at a very non-sundayish hour, had an OK breakfast and moved to the office. I was drained a couple of hours after noon. Following a short but pleasant nap (and most crucially with a rested face) we had a photoshoot before dinner.

Casual

sevgin-goktas-ozsan-sevgingo-casual-spring-hm-stradivarious-believe-in-love-portraitsToday was the “springiest” day we have had lately. I must admit that I am seriously over-cautious about being cold. Even when the weather is just fine I prepare for the worst and get lost in scarves and gloves and puffy ear muffs and pretty much everything I could put on, ending up just carrying them around and getting tired. I know it makes no sense and am trying to train myself out of it. Today it was exactly the kind of weather you’d “grab something to wear and get out” and I made good progress on my weather appropriate clothing training by not wrapping my head in stuff :)))

The knit coat, biker jeans and boots I am wearing are the pieces I have worn most often this winter- they have become some sort of uniform to me. I had fallen in love with the coat the moment I saw its patchwork like pattern and pockets. Added its comfort, it had become an irreplaceable favorite:) I will not get into the details of my love for biker jeans, it is beyond words.. I had written about my boots in a previous post-“All Black“.

Our Flight to Burhaniye

Sevgin Goktas Ozsan at Sabiha Gokcen International AirportIstanbul View by plane by Sevgin Goktas OzsanBurhaniye’ye gidiyoruuuuz.

Weekend Mode On

This weekend Güney and I wanted to take a break from work and promised to at least go out for tea/coffee. What to wear? The weather is unstable, kinda better than a few days back though- yes, it is vest time! A light dress with a patchwork pattern, and a warm vest. I am absolutely against fur, but love faux fur for texture. The Zara vest in this outfit felt so real when I first touched it that I immediately withdrew my hand, grossed out thinking it really is sheep fur. Then I checked the inner label and voila, 100% polyester, no problem here. Hands back on- aww so fluffy! Toasty!

Our café escapade lasted about two hours, we returned home bummed with due work on our minds. Still, a break is a break 🙂

All Black

sevgin goktas ozsan all black stradivarious waterfall jacket autumn fall winter bershka top DSC_1684

Fall brought a lot of black onto the shelves and displays. And frankly, I am glad it did.Sometimes I complain about going out and not seeing a single soul in any other color than black and gray, as if there was some sort of mass mourning, only to find myself in all black. I really love wearing black- I have to admit that living with several cats for years makes it a bit of a struggle though. (And now you know that none of my cats are black) Despite the struggle and the gloom, I will stick to wearing black because it is also a very elegant and pure choice..

Autumn.. Finally..

Finally autumn is here! To me, autumn is the time to literally cool down and relax after the overwhelmingly hot Istanbul summer. A time to hit the film festivals, concerts, exhibitions and fairs that frequent the city.. A time to get to work without distractions.. I have always embraced this beautiful season with love and excitement. Never once with sorrow.

So, welcome autumn…
